Mackinac Associates

The mission of Mackinac Associates--a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization--is simple, but satisfying: "friends preserving Mackinac's heritage." Associates appreciate the rich history and rare natural beauty of Mackinac, and support the efforts of Mackinac State Historic Parks to protect and present to the public its many treasures: Colonial Michilimackinac, Historic Mill Creek, and Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse in Mackinaw City and Fort Mackinac, Historic Downtown, and Mackinac Island State Park on Mackinac Island.

As a Mackinac Associate, your dues will help support a variety of programs at the parks: from living-history demonstrations and exhibit design to artifact acquisitions and the printing of publications.Your influence will even extend into classrooms across the state; Mackinac Associates are proud sponsors of the parks' educational outreach programs, which touch the lives of 10,000 students each year.

As a member of this friends group, you will fund great programs...and you'll also have fun at special 'members-only' events like Fourth of July celebration, behind-the-scenes tours, and activities that range from poetry readings to sunset cruises of the Straits.

All members receive a quarterly newsletter called Curiosities, unlimited admission to MSHP sites for two people, and a 15 percent discount at the parks' museum stores. Members at the Friend level and above may be eligible for extra perks, such as guest admission passes, personal tours by parks' curators, and special teas at the Fort Mackinac Tea Room.

Join Mackinac Associates today, and become one of the many "friends perserving Mackinac's heritage" for future generations.
