A brief, informal Memorial Day observance will be held on this day at Fort Mackinac Post Cemetery to pay tribute to the soldiers who served at this island fortress. Soldiers will assemble at 8:30 am at the fort and will march to the cemetery, perform a short ceremony and salute, and return to the fort.
